Terms of use
Talklio is free for adults aged 18 and over. Don't use it for anything illegal, harmful or abusive. Spaces and messages disappear automatically, there's no backup, and we can delete spaces that break these rules.
These terms are an agreement between you and Talklio ("we", "us") for using talklio.app. By creating or joining a space, you agree to them. We've kept them short and readable.
Who can use Talklio
You must be 18 or older. By using Talklio, you confirm that you are.
How Talklio works
- A space lasts 30 days from when it's created, then it's deleted with everything in it.
- Messages, photos, voice notes and call history are deleted 24 hours after they're sent.
- There is no backup and no recovery. If the owner loses the link or their password, the space can't be restored.
- The service is provided free, as is and as available. We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will never go down or that every message will be delivered.
What you must not do
Don't use Talklio to:
- break any law, or help anyone else break one
- share sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any content that exploits or endangers children
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate anyone
- share intimate images of someone without their consent
- encourage violence, terrorism or self-harm
- run scams, fraud, phishing or spam
- spread malware or attack our systems or other people's devices
- try to get into spaces, accounts or chats you weren't invited to
- overload the service, for example by creating large numbers of spaces automatically
Your content
You own what you send. You're responsible for it, too. Because chats are end-to-end encrypted, we can't see or moderate them. We act on reports and on information we receive from authorities.
What we can do
To keep people safe and comply with the law, we may:
- delete any space that breaks these terms, immediately and without warning
- limit or block access from networks that abuse the service
- report illegal content, and the limited information we hold, to law enforcement where the law requires it
Reporting and complaints
You can report a message or space from inside the app or by emailing safety@talklio.app. If you disagree with something we've done, email us and we'll review it. See the Safety center for details.
Our responsibility to you
Talklio is a free service. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data (the service is designed to delete data), or anything the people you talk to do with what you send them. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't legally be limited, including under UK consumer law.
Changes
We may update these terms as Talklio changes. If we make a significant change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Talklio after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a case in your local courts.
